This project was the complete transformation of a small, cramped 2-bedroom, 1-bath bungalow into a modern, energy-efficient, sustainable 4-bedroom, 2-bath house using an integrated green approach combining a highly insulated tight building envelope, daylighting, passive and active ventilation, low energy use, solar energy, and non-toxic finishes to create a beautiful, spacious, healthy home. The house offsets all of its electrical and hot water energy needs through a 2.1 kW solar photovotaic array and two 4' x 8' solar hot water panels.
